The leopard hunts in darkness  127 x 42.5 cm

The title or theme of Ephemera given to this body of work, is not in any way a reflection of the nature and construction methods used to create the pieces.

The artist has made every effort to ensure that the work is as permanent as possible.  Nor is it an ironic statement, given the slab-like appearance and sheer physicality of the pieces.

The title refers to the content of the of the work, which reflects the ephemeral and transient nature of thoughts, dreams, memories and ideas. On a more conscious, and less ambiguous level, the pieces are concerned with human mortality, our search for meaning, and the desire to leave a record of our existence for posterity.
